AutoProDiag starts with a defensible Tier A stack: live VIN decode, live recall lookup, visible evidence, confidence scoring, and explicit limits. The app refuses to invent OEM data, live scan values, TSBs, wiring, or DTC meanings that are not connected to a real source.

This MVP can verify

  • ✓ VIN identity from the live NHTSA vPIC API
  • ✓ Year/make/model recall records from the live NHTSA recalls API
  • ✓ DTC code format and family, without pretending to know licensed definitions
  • ✓ Evidence tier, timestamp, confidence band, limitations, and next-step guardrails

Intentionally blocked

Freeze-frame, readiness, live PID data, OEM-enhanced module codes, TSBs, wiring, resets, coding, programming, and immobilizer workflows stay blocked until real adapters, licensed sources, and safety gates are integrated.
